The study is devoted to the consideration of kinship relations between the princes mentioned in the “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign” and Andrei Bogolyubsky, an attempt to deal with the ambiguity of the identification of princes mentioned in the “The Tale” with those historical figures who are known to us by the names of the chronicles. We reveal the special preferences of “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign” author to the princes consisting in relationship with Andrei Bogolyubsky. It is proved that, despite the fact that the main characters of the story “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign” were Olgovichi, descendants of Oleg Gorislavich – his grandchildren Igor and Vsevolod, his grandchildren Svyatoslav of Kiev and Yaroslav of Chernigov, the majority of heroes “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign” to which Svyatoslav addressed in his “Golden word”, are close and distant relatives of Andrei Yuryevich Bogolyubsky. This statement is true even in cases where the identification of one or another prince is difficult, because the alternative identification of princes fit into the same relationship with Andrei Bogolyubsky, most often it’s great-grand nephews. It is proved that the consideration of genealogical relations between princes mentioned in the “The Tale” is greatly complicated by the lack of information about individual princes and as a consequence – a lot of personal identification of princes.
