This article presents the author’s interpretation of Ang Lee’s lm Life of Pi. The reections focus on issues related to human nature and human psychology. To achieve her goals, the author follows the successive phases of the metaphorical sense of the lm and explains the meaning of the particular components creating the story line. She draws conclusions and places them in the context of ndings from the elds of anthropology, philosophy and psychoanalysis.
