Acuña contributes a translation of Chapter 25, directed against the stick and the stone, of the sixteenth century work of friar Domingo de Vico, Theologia indorum. It is written in a kind of "general" Cakchiquel created to be intelligible to speakers of different dialects of the language as well as of Tzutujil, Quiché, and Rabinal. Acuña also provides a biographical sketch of Vico, and notes the probable influence of the Theologia indorum on the Popol Vuh.
