A ritual is an ordinace of a ceremony ora sacred deed performed by a group of believers, marked by a variety of elements and components, namely the time, places where the ceremony is performed, instruments in the ceremony, and persons observing the ceromny. Among the rituals discussed in this journal is the bamboomeasuring ritual. The bamboo, which is a ritual derived from the buddhist belief, was performed during the chinese holiday or cap go meh, as for saying that it may be performed daily while paarticipating in the ritual. While the history of the bamboo ritual first apppeared in 672, others say that it was first discovered in the VII century c.e when the first buddha entered the palembang. As for some ritualistic quantifying of the bamboo: (1) perform small rituals, (2) light incense, (3) and frankincense, (4) the process of measuring bamboo, (5) reciting spells or desired pprayers, (6) measuring bamboo again. This bamboo ritual has a meaningful significance as a symbol of good life, and the farhest from any unwelcome danger or calamity, for it incrludes a ritual that is directly supernatural, to the buddhist community it is a ritual of devation and sincerity to the gods as a manifestation of a ritual that has a full singifcance.
