This report describes a test for stability in a predator–prey system. The test is based on a parametric bootstrap applied under a model in which the predator–prey dynamics are log‐linear. The test is illustrated using two published data sets. Some simulation results are presented showing that the test performs reasonably well when the predator–prey dynamics are nonlinear at the logarithmic scale.
