— A method for fabricating three‐color phosphor screens with triad pitches of 150 μm and less has been developed. The method combines a modified microlithographic technique with electrophoretic coating of the component phosphors and black‐surround material. Indeed, triad pitches based on 15‐μm color‐line width and 5‐μm spacing between colors have been achieved.
