An evaluation index to quantify the overall 3D image quality for two‐view Stereoscopic image is proposed. Considering crosstalk, motion blur, and disparity, the 3D image quality index (ΔX 3D ) was proven to have a high positive correlation with human perception. Finally, a 3D image can be quantified by ΔX 3D with importing the gray‐to‐gray response time, optical crosstalk, and the disparity of two‐eye images.
