We present the performance results of 34‐inch field emission display (FED) prototypes which can display full‐color video with luminance of ∼400cd/m 2 , contrast ratio of 1000:1, circuit gray scale of 256. It is constructed using low work function (LWF) printable cathode, insulated film, under‐gate, spacers and color phosphors.
