We have shown the effectiveness of small‐sized high‐resolution LCD monitor as a viewer of stereoscopic microscope in medical surgery, in comparison to the conventional optical microscope. This paper describes the concept of stereoscopic microsurgery and advantages of our 6.5inch‐diagonal full‐HD LCD monitor realized by utilizing OCB‐mode field sequential color method.
