To diminish the speckle effect of a laser projection system, an LCoS spatial light modulator was employed to replace the commonly‐used diffuser and beam shaping components. The speckle contrast was reduced from 0.887 to 0.315, the image quality was greatly improved, and the system complexity was decreased as well.
