This paper describes antimicrobial properties of novel, transparent polymeric coatings applied to glass. A 3‐log reduction in viable bacterial population within 24 hours was observed. The method of application to various glass surfaces ‐polished, antiglare coated and sol‐gel fired, is demonstrated.
