In medical imaging, monochrome displays are offered with a bluebase or clearbase whitepoint. In this paper, a hardware solution using a foil with an ink pattern is presented that allows altering the whitepoint of a CCFL backlit LCD display between clearbase and bluebase, without the need to alter the lamps.
