In this paper, we have solved the problems such as lack of uniformity, occuring of bright line and hot‐spot existance in the conventional optical composite sheet of back light unit (BLU) in order to design the structure of a diffusion layer capable of forming an air‐gap and integrate a prism sheet with the diffusion layer. We obtained higher degree of uniformity than normal type BLU which was stacked using a general optical sheet like a diffusion sheet and prism sheets. Improvement of brightness and uniformity were reached by 4,800 nits and 85% degree above with a BLU having a hybrid optical sheets, respectively.
