A new high luminance of primary color LCD display has been developed by using of a brighter BLU and color mapping algorithms. It is able to reproduce brighter colors than conventional displays so that live‐like scene reproduction of brighter illuminant colors is better reproduced. It may also be a one of a future solution to expand the color gamut in direction of brighter colors which is mostly limited in the conventional displays. Therefore, an ultimate xvYCC compatible display may be realized by this concept.
