Multi‐primary color (MPC) technology is used to achieve not only wide gamut color reproduction but brightness enhancement. With modifying the sub‐pixel areas of MPC, different imaging quality is performed. This paper reports a method to render the optimized ratio of sub‐pixel area for multi‐primary displays. This optimized ratio of sub‐pixel area provides a image‐based gamut for better image quality. We demonstrate the display with optimized ratio of sub‐pixel areas (R:G:B:Y = 5:3:5:3) that the image performance is better than other sub‐pixel area designs. 5. References
