Since the 1990s new display interfaces have been implemented in modern cockpits both for commercial and military airplanes. This lead to a human‐centered cockpit system, aimed at crew performances and aircraft safety improvement. Avionics needs, display and interface performances will be addressed; finally advanced cockpit trends will be discussed
