We developed the new photo‐alignment technology for the large size LCD‐TV panel and we named our technology Ultraviolet induced multi‐domain Vertical Alignment(UVA 2 ). The transmittance, contrast ratio and response time of LCD‐TV are drastically improved, because the photo‐alignment layer results in uniform surface with pre‐tilt. The UV 2 A technology has been successfully applied to our Gen 10 factory.
