In 3D image quality assessment some preliminary results have already been reported, nevertheless no complete objective method to qualify stereoscopic images exists yet. Here first results on a new approach to objectively quantify stereoscopic images using the existing 2D image quality metric SSIM (structural similarity) are presented.
