In this paper, a low voltage <10V and high transmittance ∼85.6% polymerstabilized bluephase liquid crystal display BP LCD is proposed. The periodic corrugated electrodes generate a strong horizontal field and more importantly this field is uniformly distributed across the entire LC layer. This new approach enables BPLC to be addressed by aSi TFTs.
