System design of a detachable mobile phone projector based on LCOS projection display has been discussed. An Optical Engine (OE) utilizing Color‐Filter LCOS could deliver brightness of 8 Lumen at 2W of LED power. A digital interface in the format of Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) is used. A prototype will be demonstrated.
