Abstract We have successfully measured depolarized light‐scattering in LCD panel by using the measuring system with collimated light source. Depolarized light‐scatterings in VA (vertical alignment)‐mode panel have interesting scattering behaviors. We propose systems for enhancing contrast ratio by applying the above result.
