Abstract A microretarder for stereoscopic display is a thin film consisting of horizontal or vertical stripes with alternating null and half‐wave phase retardation states. As to in‐cell microretarder, we improved the phase retardation performance and proceeded to integrate the stereoscopic LCD structure together. In our final goal, the in‐cell microretarder LC panel with ten pixels will be proposed and produced to verify display performance.
