In recent years, the inkjet printing technology has advanced close to the level of application to the flat panel display manufacturing[1][2]. Especially for the TFT‐LCD color filter application, ink jet printing method offers great advantages over the conventional photolithography method in the area of cost saving and productivity enhancement[3]. In this paper, we present the process and characteristics of the inkjet printed color filter which has been developed for 40 inch FHD LCD panel for TV application fabricated from the Gen.8 size glass.
