In this paper, an image separated liquid crystal display (LCD) which can present two separate images simultaneously on one screen has been proposed. Hybrid aligned nematic (HAN) cell is used as the liquid crystal (LC) cell in this configuration. The structure is conventional and only one more step UV exposure is needed during photoalignment process to produce domains. This novel design is suitable for advertising and security applications.
