A high‐luminance 1.8mm‐pitch CNT‐FED for color‐character‐display was developed. The display‐panel had 32×256‐color‐pixels, and the sub‐pixel size was 0.6mm×1.8mm. The display panel can provide good‐visibility when installed even in outdoor locations. The power consumption was low enough to be batter driven. The practical application is highly expected to display important message to evacuate from the disaster area, even under emergent no‐power condition in such as vending machines.
