Abstract In this study, an innovative metallic nanowires (M‐NW) film was prepared by solution‐based method and was employed as transparent conducting layer in TFT‐LCD as replacement to ITO. The transparency and surface resistivity of the M‐NW film are 92% and 30Ω/□, respectively. In addition, a 4.1″ diagonal QVGA AM‐LCD with M‐NW film has been successfully developed.
