The liquid crystal structure in the Zenithal Bistable Display contains defect loops that stabilise the two states. Three‐dimensional modeling of the Zenithal Bistable Display has been performed using a realistic representation of the grating surface profile. Stabilization of the defects loops provided by “slips” in the grating surface is investigated.
