We have developed a new 12‐bit driver IC with linear Digital‐to‐Analog converter circuits. The driver has a newly proposed point‐to‐point link interface named PPmL and a new gamma control circuit. The proposed interface can achieve high data‐transfer rates that full‐HD resolution LCD‐TVs require, and our new Digital‐to‐Analog converter circuits can output any gamma curve controlled with only several hundred bit length parameters
