Abstract LTPS (Low Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon)‐TFT is ideally suited for mobile active‐matrix displays. An overview will be provided of the latest innovations underlining the unique capability of LTPS, highlighting examples from TPO's own R&D, in the areas of integrated ambient light sensing, ultralow‐standby‐power memory‐in‐pixel, advanced driving schemes and pixel designs for wide viewing, high level of System‐on‐Panel integration, and high‐performance AMOLED, based on advanced and mature LTPS processes & devices.
