MgO electron emission layer for ac‐PDPs was formed via electrophoretic deposition process and its characteristics were evaluated. Luminance efficiency of test panels using such electron emission layer was evaluated. The layer formed by the electrophoretic deposition process revealed enhanced adhesion to dielectric layer and better packed density compared with formed via conventional thick film process such as printing and spin coating process.
