Abstract We have proposed a leaned facing‐electrode structure of PDP, in which bus electrode is slantly shaped between ridged dielectric layers. In this study, we investigate discharge characteristics for leaned facing‐electrode PDP, which are summarized by low discharge current, high luminance, and luminous efficacy than those of co‐planar electrode structure.
