When a same halftone is displayed in all pixels of STN‐LCD panel, undesirable frame pattern is seen in a MLA drive system. It is seen momentarily by some synchronization between shaken panel and display cycle. In other case, it is seen at momentary of change when the display is blinking. We solved these frame patterns by dispersing the frames of turning on and off, and by minimizing a effective voltage difference between pixels.
