The paper describes a use of enhanced Optiva thin‐crystal film (TCF) coatings for the correction of color errors (blue leakage) and color variations in liquid crystal displays (LCDs). Here we present new measurements and simulations for a compensated TN LCD and focus on additional improvements in color and iso‐contrast display characteristics. The measurements were performed on a Quanta 17″ LCD both with and without the color perfection film (CPF).
