P‐79: New Light Collimation Film(LCF) for Direct‐lit BLU System

We have studied a new collimation film consisting of lenticular lens arrays and other functional layers. Using an optical simulator, we found their optimized optical conditions. We have developed the new collimation film according to the optimized optical conditions. Brightness is equal to the conventional prism film, and a horizontal full width half maxim angle is increased about 15% when compared to the conventional prism film in 32 inch direct let BLU system. The results show that the new film is suitable for the direct let BLU system.
