A new getter for OLED application has been developed. The paste getter contains zeolite as dryer and is flexible in form, size and thickness. The getter can be handled in air instead of Nitrogen, and thus allows easy manufacturability and usability. The performance of the new getter was evaluated under conditions close to expected operating conditions inside the display and in prototype device geometries. The myth that Zeolites cannot be used in OLEDs due to their tendency to desorb water has been dispelled.
