Abstract New displays face long development cycles and difficult transitions into highly competitive markets. Often, the hardest part of transition is not achieving display functionality, but rather converting an organization optimized for development to one optimized to ship product. This paper discusses manufacturing, product selection, and personnel aspects of that conversion.
