Adopting the new structure of planarization layer on the rough reflector and designing the new optical compensation with large cell gap margin, we developed the wide viewing angle transflective LCD module with our proprietary IPS technology (Super‐Fine‐TFT technology). After measuring the viewing‐angle characteristics, the developed transflective IPS‐LCD is shown to surpass the VA mode in the transmissive performance.
