Abstract Preferred skin color reproduction using affine transform from skin color detection area to preferred skin color area generates contours in the boundary between the corrected and the uncorrected areas. This paper proposes a contour reduction function which eliminates contour artifacts by adjusting the weight of the transform matrix using erosion.
