A smart portable display system which is mainly use in laptop application with the ability of active color gamut adjustment is propose. To give consideration toward power‐saving, high brightness an color‐reproduction, user can select different display modes according to their own usage environment and requirement. In the 15.4″ WXGA proto‐type sample with two different color‐filter spectra we developed, there exists 3 display modes which consist of different color gamut and respective power consumption, also a super high brightness mode is provided.
