The authors have successfully improved the six‐primary color LCD using six‐color LEDs which was introduced in SID 2005. Now the prototype has achieved a luminance 150% higher and with less flicker than the former model. This research was organized in part by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization, Japan (NEDO).
