Conventional stereoscopic displays unnaturally require keeping eye accommodation fixed at one focal distance while dynamically varying vergence. This forced decoupling of reflexively linked processes fatigues eyes. Our multifocal True 3D displays generate accommodation cues that match vergence and stereoscopic retinal disparity demands, better mimicking natural vision and minimizing eye fatigue.
