We have fabricated reflective cholesteric reactive mesogen nanoposts for use as cholesteric reflectors. Varying the pitch of the cholesteric material in the posts allows the reflection wavelengths to be easily tuned for any wavelength. Arrays of these posts can easily be fabricated using printing techniques in order to quickly fabricate red, green, and blue reflectors. One potential display application for these materials is as reflective color filters.
