In this paper, the tilt angle effect on the electro‐optic properties of IPS‐LCD is investigated through our 3‐D simulator, which combines the finite element and finite difference methods for fast solutions. As the tilt angle of the electrodes increases, the viewing angle is widened, response time shortened, color dispersion and color shift eliminated.
