Simple microwave irradation escalating the luminance efficiency for the commercial phosphor powders is reported. Geometrical variation of the particles from irregular to spherical shape is simultaneously achieved, encouraging an efficient screen‐printed phosphor deposition. Particle size reduction following the microwave surface modification gives consdierably improved luminescence efficiecy.
