TLDS, a new concept of the differential signaling is introduced to realize COG packaging of Source Driver IC in medium/large TFT LCD. When ECDL (Embedded Clock Data Lines) is merged into TLDS technology, it provides a very suitable architecture for medium/large sized TFT display panel with COG type Source/Gate Driver ICs. Prototype TFT display panel with TLDS interface, of which all signals and power lines are fully routed on glass, is demonstrated.
