Most of PC monitors have never been tested for ergonomic parameters at the workplace because today's measurement equipment is too expensive. An easy to use and lowest cost system for PCs was developed: USB interfacing overcomes the need of batteries and PC based software guides (inexperienced) users through the tests. Contrast ratio and grey scale can be measured with and without ambient illumination. The system is also capable to perform many optical display measurements with slightly modified software.
