To realize a bright TFT‐LCD for the mobile phone, we propose the QVGA RGBW TFT‐LCD with Data Rendering Innovation Matrix (DRIM) technology and a commercial one‐chip driver IC. A more efficient design with eight sub‐pixels makes high brightness and high contrast ratio possible with only 150 mW, low power consumption.
