Through a collaboration within the U.S. Display Consortium, several new OLED perimeter sealants have been developed. Analyses describing key chemical and physical attributes of these adhesives will be presented. An “outgassing during UV cure” GC‐MS analysis has been established and applied. A calcium button test adapted specifically for the evaluation of perimeter sealed geometries has been developed and used to evaluate the barrier performance of the new sealants in a prototype device geometry.
