In recent years, technologies for thin‐film‐transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT‐LCD) have made fast and dramatic advancement with performance surpassing PDP, CRT, and projectors. Without any doubt, TFT‐LCD has become the most suitable implementation solution for HDTV applications. In this paper, we will present techniques that further enhance the color and image performance of large‐size LCD TVs.
