Abstract A method to decrease motion blur and improve moving image quality of hold‐type displays such as AMLCD, AMOLED or LCOS projectors is proposed. The method does not increase large‐area flicker on displayed pictures and can be realized with a simpler signal processing than motion‐compensation methods.
